Carlos Ortiz has been a lifelong surface designer specializing in afro-centric and art-deco patterns.
Working from his Soundview,
Bronx-based studio, he produces beautiful, hand-made fabrics
and clothing items.
Having gotten his start through
word-of-mouth references, his production has expanded
to the
point where his items are now for sale at retail locations
throughout New York City.
Now, for the first time ever, many
of his best-selling items are for sale on the internet,
making
them available to those outside New York.
